Our Story

My Passion for Estate Planning

When my grandmother passed away in 2003, I probated her will and witnessed first-hand what happens to a family when a matriarch dies. During the probate and execution of the will, I watched as her adult children argued and fought over how to divide her personal assets and estate. It was a heartbreaking experience and something no family should go through.

At the same time, I was pregnant with my first child, and I started to consider what would happen to her if something happened to my husband and me while she was still young. Who would raise her and manage her finances? If we didn’t put a plan in place to take care of her, a courtroom judge would. And while we love our family dearly, there are some we would never want to be responsible for raising my child.

These thoughts of planning and preparation inspired me to transition my law practice from litigation to probate and estate planning. That’s why I sit down with every client to understand their unique situation, concerns, challenges, and family dynamics and create a plan with kindness and compassion.
